Years 6 to 7 Transition
Moving from primary to secondary school is an exciting milestone, and at Holsworthy Community College we work hard to ensure every student feels confident, supported, and ready for the next stage of their journey.
Our Year 6–7 Transition Programme is designed to help students and families get to know the school, meet key staff, and settle in smoothly. We aim to make the process positive and reassuring, so that every child starts Year 7 feeling prepared and happy to begin their time with us.
Year 6-7 Transition Residential
We are delighted that your child may be joining Year 7 at Holsworthy Community College in September 2026. As part of our transition programme, we are offering an exciting overnight residential trip to Ultimate Adventure in Bideford on 22–23 September 2026. This trip helps new students build friendships, grow in confidence, and settle into life at HCC through a range of fun outdoor activities.
Further details will follow soon. To secure a place, a £40 non‑refundable deposit is required by 31 March 2026. If your child is not offered a place at HCC, any payments made will be fully reimbursed.
